04Nov2003 King Fahd receives Bahraini King

Riyadh, 4th November 2003

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz today received Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and his accompanying delegation at Al-Yamamah Palace.

They held a meeting, during which the Bahraini King congratulated King Fahd on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, wishing him good health and happiness, and progress and prosperity for the Saudi people. King Fahd expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Bahraini King, and reciprocated his congratulations for the advent of Ramadan.

During the meeting, they discussed the situation in the Middle East, particularly developments in Palestine and Iraq, recent developments in Arab, Islamic and international arenas, and means of enhancing cooperation between the two countries.

On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Interior Minister, and other princes, ministers and senior officials.

On the Bahraini side, the meeting was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa, the Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister, and other officials accompanying the King of Bahrain.
