In the presence of the Indonesian Vice President, Dr Hamza Haas, an agreement to protect and promote investment between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Indonesia was signed here on Monday.
The agreement was signed by the Saudi Minister of Finance, Dr Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz Al-Assaf, and the Indonesian Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mohammed Maftooh Basyouni.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr Al-Assaf expressed his hope that the agreement would enhance economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Indonesia, would pave the way for further agreements, and protect investments in the Kingdom and Indonesia.
The Indonesian Ambassador said that the agreement would be a gateway to broader cooperation agreements in the financial sector.
