15Sep2003 Heroin smuggler beheaded

Riyadh, 15th September 2003

Pakistani national, Manligh Shah Kul Zarin Khan, was beheaded on Monday after being convicted of smuggling heroin into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a statement released by the Interior Ministry announced.

The culprit was convicted by the Shariah Court, and the verdict was approved by the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Judicial Council.

The statement reiterated the determination of the Saudi government severely to punish criminals and to enforce law and order in the Kingdom.
