In a press statement issued today, the Minister of Health, Dr Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Manei, reported an increase in the number of people resorting to eye hospitals in the Kingdom, in line with the increase in the Kingdom’s population.

The Minister also said that the Health Ministry is planning to open a new eye hospital at the Riyadh-based King Fahd Medical City next year. The King Khalid Specialist Hospital for Eyes is currently under pressure because in many cases, citizens who could be seen at general hospitals are seeking service at the specialist hospital.
