Prince Talal bin Abdul Aziz, Head of the Arabian Gulf Program for Supporting United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND), lauded the steps taken by various governmental and private bodies in the Kingdom to promote compulsory medical tests before marriage. His remarks followed an AGFUND meeting here today.
He said that AGFUND made a number of proposals regarding the poverty fund, which was recently approved in the Kingdom, adding that the proposals are being discussed with the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
On AGFUND’s aid to the Iraqi people, he said that the Fund has provided $1 million to this end.
