09Sep2003 Arab Foreign Ministers conclude meeting

Cairo, 9th September 2003

The Arab Foreign Ministers concluded their consultative meeting in Cairo on Monday night.

Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal led the Kingdom’s delegation to the meeting.

Prince Saud Al-Faisal said that the Foreign Ministers decided to invite the Iraqi Governing Council to participate in the Arab League meetings on Tuesday as a member state.

Twenty Arab Foreign Ministers are scheduled to hold their 120th meeting here on Tuesday, under the chairmanship of Egypt.

The Arab consultative meeting decided to invite the Iraqi transitional Governing Council to occupy the seat of Iraq at the Arab League meetings for the period of one year, until a national government is formed in Iraq.
