03Sep2003 King Fahd orders distribution of the Holy Quran

Riyadh, 3rd September 2003

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz ordered the distribution of 282,822 copies of the Holy Quran, and explication of its meaning, to Saudi Embassies, and government and private institutions, within the Kingdom and abroad.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, and General Supervisor of the Madinah-based King Fahd Complex for Printing the Holy Quran (KFCPHQ), Sheikh Saleh bin Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, told the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) that the distributed copies were produced by the KFCPHQ. The Minister thanked King Fahd for this generous gesture.
