02Sep2003 Kingdom elected Co-Deputy President of the IPF

Seoul, 2nd September 2003

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Shoura Council, was elected Co-Deputy President of the International Parliamentarians Federation for Public Services, with Canada. South Korea was elected President of the Federation.

The Kingdom was also elected as a member of the organization’s 14-member Executive Committee.

The speech of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the constitutional meeting was delivered by head of the Saudi delegation, Osama Al-Kurdi, who addressed important points, including the public services offered by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to its citizens, and the development of these services during the era of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz.
