A statement by the Interior Ministry announced that a Pakistani national, Shah Bali Jan, was beheaded here on Monday, after being convicted of smuggling heroin into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The culprit was convicted by the Shariah Court, and the verdict was approved by the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Judicial Council.
The statement reiterated the determination of the Saudi government severely to punish criminals, and ensure the prevalence of law and order.
