A study found that SR196 billion has been invested in industry in the cities of Jubail and Yanbu, on the east and west coasts of Saudi Arabia, according to a report in ‘Okaz’ newspaper.
The study said that SR141 billion was invested by the private sector. It cited statistics provided by the Royal Commission saying that investment in industry in the two cities comprises 55% of total industrial investment in the Kingdom, and 85% of investment in petrochemical and metals sectors.
