The Minister of Culture and Information, Dr Fouad Al-Farsy, on Sunday met with editors-in-chief of local newspapers and magazines.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Al-Farsy stressed the efforts of Saudi newspapers and magazines to enlighten Saudi youth in order to avert them from extremism and deviant ideas. He urged the newspapers and magazines to emphasise the adverse impact of terrorist crimes on the security and stability of the country and citizens.
Dr Al-Farsy hailed the significant role of the press in service of the interests of the country, as well as its effective role in regional and international arenas.
The meeting was attended by Undersecretary for Information Affairs, Dr Abdullah Al-Jasser, Director General of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr Ayed Al-Raddadi, and other senior officials at the Ministry of Culture and Information.
