The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretariat General voiced opposition to accusations against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the U.S. congressional report on the 11 September, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The statement, issued by the GCC Secretariat General on Friday, highlighted the effective role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the international fight against terrorism, and praised the Kingdom’s call for publication of the entire report.
The statement confirmed the keenness of GCC member states to enhance their relations with the United States on the basis of mutual interests and the principles of mutual respect.
