31Jul2003 Kingdom provides assistance to Sri Lanka

Colombo, 31st July 2003

In accordance with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz to provide dates to needy people in Sri Lanka, the Saudi Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Mohammed bin Mahmoud Al-Ali, today delivered 400 tons of dates from the Kingdom’s government to assist those in need.

The government of Sri Lanka expressed its great appreciation to the Kingdom’s government for this valuable humanitarian aid, which continues a series of contributions provided by the Kingdom to the people of Sri Lanka.
