29Jul2003 Prince Naif meets people of Qasim Region

Buraidah, Saudi Arabia, 29th July 2003

Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Interior Minister, tonight met with Ulema, chief magistrates, Qasim Region Council members, Governors of provinces, heads of various centres, tribe leaders, and a number of citizens of Al-Qasim Region at Buraidah Governorate. Senior officials of the Governorate also attended.

During the meeting, Prince Naif conveyed the condolences of the Saudi leadership to relatives of the two martyrs, and expressed sympathy for those suffering injuries. He told the audience that he came to pay condolences to the families of the martyrs and meet with the people of the region, upon instructions of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, the Crown Prince, and the Second Deputy Premier.

He said that the people of Qasim Region are responsible for defending the security of their religion, King and nation at all times. He recalled similar terrorist acts that have taken place or been foiled by security authorities in Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah and the Eastern Region. Prince Naif said that all citizens are responsible for educating and guiding our youths.

The Minister said that the government has provided for the martyrs’ families needs, both now and in the future.

The meeting was attended by Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Interior Minister for Security Affairs, and Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majid bin Abdul Aziz, Vice-Governor of Al-Qasim Region.
