The Kingdom’s seminar entitled “Exploration and Production of Gas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” concluded here today.
During the two-day seminar, over 150 directors and representatives of 41 companies specializing in production of oil and gas, and petrochemical industries, attended talks by Saudi officials and experts.
The Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi, inaugurated the seminar on Tuesday.
Information was provided to the companies on the Kingdom’s investment regulations, foreign investment laws, infrastructure, and gas exploration areas.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources presented papers, responded to inquiries, and provided information to investors on the Kingdom’s oil and gas sectors, new laws in the field of foreign capital investment, tax exemption, and facilities for the transference of money.
The seminar is the first meeting of international companies to win Saudi offers for gas exploration in three areas situated north of the Empty Quarter and south of the area of Saudi Aramco concessions.
