21Jul2003 Ministry of Finance concludes contracts worth SR16,299 million

Riyadh, 21st July 2003

The Ministry of Finance has concluded procedures pertaining to 1,365 contracts related to various sectors of the economy.

The contracts were concluded between a number of government authorities and national establishments, representing a total value of SR16,299 million, until the end of the second quarter of fiscal year 1423/1424.

These contracts include 611 contracts for operation and maintenance, worth a total value of SR7,045 million; 210 contracts for municipal and rural projects, worth SR1,220 million; 214 contracts for construction of schools and educational utilities, worth SR2,700 million; 55 contracts for hospital and health facility projects, worth SR946 million; 38 contracts for roads and communications projects, worth SR693 million; 53 contracts for water, dams and sewage projects, worth SR1,150 million; 91 contracts for medicines, food and fuel, worth SR1,139 million, and 93 contracts for various other projects, which are worth a total of SR1,406 million.
