19Jul2003 Crown Prince receives princes, ministers, senior officials, citizens

Jeddah, 19th July 2003

In the presence of Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, on Saturday received at the Royal Court at Al-Salam Palace princes, ministers, senior royal protocol officials, and a number of citizens, who came to greet him and congratulate him on his safe return to Jeddah from a tour of Al-Taif and Makkah.

He received delegations from Guraish, Harb, Al-Talhan and Bani Al-Harith tribes, and leaders of Rabegh Province.

During the audience, representatives of the tribes condemned the terrorist attacks in Riyadh and attempted attacks in Makkah and Madinah, and stressed their support for the government against terrorism. They described the perpetrators of terrorist acts as small, deviant groups that totally contravene the values of Saudi society, which is firmly united with its leadership.

Crown Prince Abdullah thanked all of the attendees, and reiterated the unity of Saudi citizens with their leadership.
