The General Secretariat of Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies concluded its 31st session here today.
In a cable sent to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, the participants of the session condemned the recent terrorist acts in Riyadh, and stressed their support of the Kingdom in its efforts to fight terrorism which utterly contradicts Islamic values.
They also expressed their appreciation to King Fahd for holding the session in the Kingdom and thanked Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister, for his hospitality and patronage of the meetings.
During the three-day session, President of the Saudi Red Crescent Society, Dr Abdulrahman Al-Suweilim, was selected as Chairman of the current session, and Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Hazza’ of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was appointed as Secretary General of the Arab Organization of Red Crescent and Red Cross Societies for a four-year term.
