17Jul2003 WAMY builds new mosque in Sudan

Jeddah, 17th July 2003

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has recently started the construction of a new mosque in Sudan at an estimated cost of SR25,150.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), WAMY Assistant Secretary General, Dr Abdulwahab Nour Wali, said that the construction work of the mosque, which is to be named ‘Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq’ mosque, has been progressing very successfully, and is expected to be completed on schedule.

He said that the construction of such a place for worship is part of WAMY’s consistent efforts to promote the cause of Islam.

He thanked the philanthropist who provided the funds for the construction project.
