16Jul2003 Prince Sultan patronises Armed Forces Exhibition

Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defence and Aviation and Inspector General, yesterday patronized the 4th Armed Forces Exhibition, which was held at Abha Forum 2003, King Khalid Air Base.

The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, representative of the King of Bahrain.

Upon arrival at the venue, Prince Sultan was received by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Asir Region, and Commanders of the Armed Forces.

Prince Sultan toured the Exhibition, where samples of conventional and advanced weapons of the terrestrial, air, naval and air forces, and the security sectors, were displayed. In addition to pavilions of the four branches of the Armed Forces, the Exhibition had pavilions for the Interior Ministry, Medical Services, Religions Affairs, and Drug Combat sections.

Following the tour, a speech ceremony was held. Attendees then appreciated a splendid display, which included aerobatics, parachuting, hypothetical air-land battle, an air evacuation operation, military skills and poetry recitation.

Prince Sultan was accompanied by princes, senior officers of the Armed Forces, senior civil officials, and a number of citizens and tourists.
