15Jul2003 Saudi Arabia grants $15.4million to Palestinian National Authority

Cairo, 15th July 2003

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has deposited a sum of $15.4 million in the special account for support of the Palestinian National Authority.

In a statement to the press, the Kingdom’s envoy to the Arab League, Faisal bin Hassan Tarrad, said this grant is part of the Kingdom’s continuous support of the Palestinian people.

He said that the sum covers the instalments for the months of June and July of the current year. “This aid reflects the keenness of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz to support the Palestinian people and its National Authority to achieve their right to establish an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as its capital,” he added.
