An official source at the Interior Ministry announced that, after storming a terrorist hideout in Al-Jouf Region on Thursday morning, Saudi security forces captured a number of wanted terrorist suspects.

Following the receipt of intelligence information, security forces on Thursday morning surrounded an Imam’s house in Swair, Al-Jouf Region, where five wanted terrorists were hiding. The terrorists began to fire machine-guns and throw grenades at the security officials, who returned fire. The shootout resulted in the death of four terrorists: Turki Nasser Mishaal Al-Dandani, Saudi; Rajih bin Hassan Al-Ajmi, Kuwaiti; Abdulrahman Jabarah, Kuwaiti of Iraqi descent, and Ammash Al-Sbei’, Saudi.

The source said that, before the shootout, the environs of the house were evacuated and the wanted terrorist suspects were given an opportunity to surrender by announcements on loudspeakers. The Imam of the local mosque, who owned the surrounded house, Musaed Hamdan Faleh Al-Ruwaili, his wife, children and domestic employee handed themselves over to security authorities and were transferred to a secure place. Terrorist suspect Hassan Hadi Al-Dousari surrendered to authorities.
