21Jun2003 STC cuts charges for calls to 16 Arab countries

Riyadh, 21st June 2003

The Saudi Telecommunication Company (STC) has announced new cuts in charges for calls to 16 Arab countries, commencing on 1 July.

The new charges per minute range between SR3.4 and SR3.7 during peak hours and SR2.6 during off peak hours. They will apply to Egypt, Sudan, Yemen, Algeria, Djibouti, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Comoro Islands, Palestine, Somalia, Tunisia, Lebanon, Syria, Mauritania and Morocco.

Since its establishment, the Saudi Telecom has reduced phone call charges by over 60%. The reductions included calls by mobile phones and landlines, Internet use, and other auxiliary services.
