Riyadh, 16th June 2003

Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Minister of Interior, who is also General Supervisor of the Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Iraqi People, issued directives to build 10 water purification stations in Iraq, at a cost of SR6million.

The stations, with a capacity of two million litres per day, will produce fresh water, to compensate for the destruction or contamination of water resources in most Iraqi cities and villages during the war on Iraq.

Prince Naif’s directives are part of the efforts exerted by the Committee to alleviate the suffering of the Iraqi people.
