The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has directed Saudi embassies to exert every possible effort to protect the security of citizens who spend the summer holidays abroad.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Sunday, the Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Consular Affairs, Ambassador Ibrahim bin Omar Al-Khirashi, said that the directives will include a 24-hour telephone service to take calls soliciting urgent help or making complains, a fax to receive copies of passports for registration, and contact with qualified lawyers to assist citizens in case they need such assistance during their period of residence.
