It was announced at a meeting of the U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council that two Saudi companies are among 13 international firms to be awarded contracts for the reconstruction of Iraq.
The Saudi companies, Al-Tamimi Global Company and National Catering Company, have won housing and catering contracts from the U.S. construction giant Bechtel, according to a report published today by Arab News. The value of the contracts was not disclosed.
This brings to 13 the number of subcontracts awarded by Bechtel for reconstruction of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
