The Interior Minister, Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, today received members of the families and close relatives of two martyrs and three injured in a recent gunfight between a security patrol and fugitive suspects at Turba, Hail Region. He offered his condolences to the relatives of the two security men who were killed in the incident, and expressed his sincere sympathy for those injured.
Corporal Dardah bin Waqa’a Al-Shammari and Lance Corporal Saud bin Abdullah Al-Shammari lost their lives while patrolling Turba neighbourhood, Hail Region, and soldiers Farhan bin Homoud Al-Shammari and Abdullah bin Mishaa’l Al-Shammari, and a civilian official of Hail Governorate, Rashid bin Abdul Aziz Al-Shiraihi Al-Shammari, were injured in the incident.
Prince Naif paid tribute to members of the patrol involved in a car chase and shootout with a fugitive who was among the 19 wanted men listed as suspects. The fugitive, Yousuf Salih Fahd Al-Ayeeri, was also killed in the incident; his companion, Abdullah bin Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Shabrami, was arrested.
The Interior Minister praised the sacrifice and bravery of the martyrs and the injured protecting the security of their nation. He conveyed to the families and relatives of the martyrs and the injured the instructions of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz to promote the martyrs to their next rank, provide financial assistance and purchase homes for their families, allocate monthly salaries to their mothers, and settle their debts. The injured have been promoted in rank and financially rewarded.
The families and relatives of the martyrs and the injured expressed their thanks and gratitude to King Fahd and Prince Naif for their generous concern.
