06Jun2003 Sudan extradites 18 wanted persons to Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, 6th June 2003

Sudan has extradited 18 wanted persons to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

An official source at the Interior Ministry said that those extradited, 17 of whom were Saudis and one a Palestinian living in the Kingdom, were undertaking training in the use of weapons at a training camp in Sudan’s western state of Kurdofan. The source said that the men are currently under investigation, the results of which will be announced when investigations are concluded.

The source expressed thanks to the Sudanese authorities for their efforts and continuous cooperation.
