03Jun2003 King Fahd donates SR100m for establishment of medical centre

Riyadh, 3rd June 2003

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz donated SR100 million for the establishment of an advanced centre to diagnose and treat breast cancer at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh.

In a press statement, Dr Anwar Al-Jabarti, Administration Supervisor and Executive Director of the Hospital, expressed his appreciation to King Fahd for this generous donation, which reflects the King’s concern to attend to the needs of all citizens of the Kingdom.

The Hospital’s Senior Executive Director, Abdulrahman Al-Naim, said that the centre would be the first of its kind in the Middle East, southern Europe and many Asian countries.
