Preparations for 200 cultural, sports, entertainment and artistic events, which form major attractions of this year’s Jeddah Summer Tourism Festival, have been completed by the Festival’s Executive Committee. The Festival will be formally opened on 26 June.
The Acting Secretary General of Jeddah’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mohammad Abdullah Al-Sharif, said that a large number of visitors are expected this year. He expressed his hope that the Festival will surpass the expectations of both citizens and expatriates alike. “The outstanding feature of this year’s Festival will be the establishment of a ‘Surprise Village’, over an area of 65,000 square-metres, which will comprise 100 different events to attract visitors,” he said.
