An official source at the Interior Ministry announced the arrest of a number of people in Madinah last Tuesday and Wednesday. The men were in possession of weapons, funds, false identity cards and documents, materials and devices necessary for making explosives.
The following were arrested: Ali Kudhair Fahd Al-Khudhair (Saudi); Ahmed Homood Al-Khaldi (Saudi); Saad Abdulrazzaq Faidhi Al-Ghamdi (Saudi); Turki Abdul Aziz Al-Fuhaid (Saudi); Mohammed Abdulfattah Mohammed Kiram (Moroccan); Nasser Hamad Humain Al-Fahd (Saudi); Mohammed Salim Al-Ghamdi (Saudi); Hisham Mubarak Al-Hakami (Saudi); Omar Mubarak Al-Hakami; Majdi Ahmed Mohammed Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Khabrani (Saudi), and Talib Ahmed Kareem (Moroccan).
After chasing a car that fled from one of the sites of arrest, security officials stopped the car and arrested its driver and passengers, including Abdulmonim Ali Mahfouz Al-Ghamdi and three Arab women without identity cards. The women proved to be: Ghaidah Ahmed Souidah (Syrian), wife of Abdulmonim; Hanan Abdullah Raqib (Moroccan), allegedly the wife of Sultan bin Jibran Al-Qahtani (who is wanted by Saudi security forces), and Al-Iyadyyih Ahmed Mohammed Al-Sayyad (Moroccan) allegedly the wife of Ali Abdulrahman Al-Faqaasi Al-Ghamdi (who is also wanted by Saudi security forces).
