31May2003 Crown Prince meets President of Switzerland

Lausanne, Switzerland, 31st May 2003

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, today met President Pascal Couchepin of Switzerland.

During the audience, the Crown Prince conveyed to the President the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, and thanked the President for his warm welcome.

The Swiss President welcomed the Crown Prince, wishing him and the Saudi delegation good stay in Switzerland.

The two sides discussed recent international developments, including the situation in Iraq and Palestinian occupied territories. They also reviewed cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing it in all spheres.

On the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Prince Saud Al-Faisal, the Foreign Minister; Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Saudi Ambassador to the United States; Prince Abdul Aziz bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of State, Cabinet Member and Chief of Court of the Cabinet’s Presidency; Dr Ghazi bin Abdulrahman Al-Gosaibi, the Minister of Water and Electricity; Dr Ibrahim bin Abdul Aziz Al-Assaf, the Minister of Finance; Faisal Al-Hujailan, the Saudi Ambassador to France, and Habeeb Shaheen, the Saudi Ambassador to Switzerland.

On the Swiss side, the meeting was attended by a number of senior officials.
