The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with other countries of the world, will observe the International Nursing Day which falls on Saturday, May 10, 2003. The Day will be celebrated this year under the motto of "We should Combat AIDS and Take Care of All."
Ilham bint Ibrahim Ahmed Sindi, the director general of the administration of nursing at the health ministry, said the Kingdom's observation of the international nursing day is an example of the keenness of the health ministry to support the nursing sector, as well as extending the best possible nursing services to the citizens and residents. She underlined the importance of presenting effective programs on religious and health awareness for combating AIDS. Ilham Sindi pointed out that the observation of the international nursing day will provide an opportunity to all hospitals and health centers throughout the Kingdom to present their activities in the field of health awareness.
