26Apr2003 Saudi Committee opens bank account to receive donations for Iraqi people

Riyadh, 26th April 2003

The Saudi Committee for the Relief of the Iraqi People has opened the account number 111 in all branches of Al-Ahli (the National) Bank in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to receive donations.

The television campaign to collect donations for the Iraqi people will begin tomorrow afternoon. The campaign reflects the keen wish of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to alleviate the suffering of the Iraqi people, to meet their humanitarian needs, and to support them in the current difficult circumstances.

The Committee, which is supervised by Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of The Interior and General Supervisor of the Committee, is continuing to convene meetings for the campaign and to coordinate efforts for collecting donations and delivering them directly to the Iraqi people.
