The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken the necessary measures to transfer $15,4 million to the Palestinian National Authority budget.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Kingdom's permanent envoy to the Arab League Ambassador Faisal bin Hassan bin Terad said: "The Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz has given and continues to give its utmost concern for Palestinian rights, for the Palestinians to achieve their just demands for an independent Palestinian state, with Al-Quds [Jerusalem] as its capital."
He added: "The Kingdom is fulfilling its decision taken at the Sharm Al-Sheikh summit to renew its commitment to support the budget of the Palestinian Authority for the next 6 months, starting from April, 2003."
The amount comprises the instalments for April and May of the year 2003.
