16Apr2003 Crown Prince confers with Jordanian king

Riyadh, April 16, 2003-04-18

Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, the Deputy Premier and Commander of the National Guard, and visiting King Abdullah II of Jordan held a meeting at Crown Prince Abdullah's palace in Riyadh today.

During the meeting, they discussed the situation in Iraq and the latest developments in the region, particularly the developments of the Palestinian issue. They also reviewed Arab, Islamic and International issues, as well as the potential for cooperation between the two countries and ways of supporting them.

The audience was attended on the Saudi side by Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General; Prince Mite'b bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Public Works and Housing; Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region; Prince Saud Alfaisal, the Foreign Minister; Prince Abdulilah bin Abdulaziz; Prince Abdulaziz bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet and Chief of the Court of the Cabinet's Presidency and Dr. Madani Alaqi, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet. The meeting was attended on the Jordanian side by Prince Ali bin Al Hussein; Ali Aburraghib, the Prime Minister; Faisal Alfayez, the Minister at the Royal Court; Dr. Marwan Alma'ashar, the Foreign Minister; Farouq Qasrawi , Advisor at the Royal Court; and Jordan's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Hani Khalifa.—
