16Apr2003 SAGIA organizes seminar on improving investment environment

Riyadh, 16th April 2003

100 officials from 35 institutions in the Kingdom are taking part in a workshop entitled “Towards A Better Investment Environment,” which began its activities here yesterday, under the auspices of the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA).

The workshop commenced with a speech by SAGIA Governor, Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Turki, who stressed the necessity of investment to promote economic and social development, job creation, and the improvement of services. He said that the aim of the workshop is to review obstacles facing potential investors and explore ways to eliminate them in cooperation with the relevant bodies.

Prince Abdullah bin Faisal reiterated SAGIA’s commitment to extend services to all local and foreign investors and create an environment suitable to attract businessmen to invest in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
