15Apr2003 Prince Saud and British Foreign Secretary review regional developments

Riyadh, 15th April 2003

The Foreign Minister, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, on Tuesday held talks with British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, which focused on developments in the region, notably the situation in Iraq.

They reviewed the latest developments in the Palestinian occupied territories, and stressed the importance of reactivating the peace process. They also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and other issues of mutual interest.

On the Saudi side, the talks were attended by Prince Turki Al-Faisal, the Saudi Ambassador to Britain; Dr Nizar Madani, the Assistant Foreign Minister, and a number of senior officials.
