14Apr2003 Kingdom distributes food for the needy in Palestine

Gaza, 14th April 2003

The Palestinian Ministry of Social Affairs today began to distribute food baskets provided by the Saudi Committee for Supporting Al-Quds Intifada.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Palestinian Minister of Social Affairs, Intisar Al-Wazeer, said that the grant provided by the Saudi Committee for Supporting Al-Quds Intifada included 200,000 food baskets, which cost $6 million.

She added that the baskets would be distributed among needy families in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, which will each receive 100,000 baskets.
