07Apr2003 Saudi Arabia returns 31 artefacts to Yemen

Riyadh, 7th April 2003

Saudi Arabia has returned 31 artefacts to Yemen, which a group of Yemenis had tried to smuggle into the Kingdom through Najran Region.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Antiquities and Museums, Dr Saad bin Abdul Aziz Al-Rashed, said that these artefacts were handed over to the Yemeni authorities via the Kingdom’s Embassy in Sanaa.
