The Saudi Arabian Financial Authority will circulate a new version of the SR500 banknote, effective from Monday.
An official source at the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA) said that additional secure characteristics have been introduced into the SR500 note. He said SAMA obtained the approval of the Cabinet to reprint the SR500 banknote, adding new characteristics that will guarantee the protection of the national currency and facilitate its circulation. The statement also described the main secure characteristics.
