14Mar2003 Prince Sultan International Prize activities begin

Riyadh, 14th March 2003

The activities of the Second Prince Sultan International Prize for Memorization and Intonation of the Holy Quran for the armed forces will begin here on Saturday.

The contest is aimed to encourage military forces in various Muslim countries to memorize the Holy Quran and understand its meaning. It will also highlight the significant role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in service of the Holy Quran and the Islamic spirit of the Saudi armed forces, and it will enhance relations among military forces in the Muslim world.
