Specialized committees of the Majlis Al-Shoura (Consultative Council) on Tuesday resumed their regular weekly meetings in the presence of a number of concerned governmental officials.
The Security Affairs Committee reviewed proposed restrictions on the housing of bachelors in residential quarters, amendments of the Saudi nationality system, and the new traffic system.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Interior, Commerce, Labour and Social Affairs, Higher Education and Municipal and Rural Affairs Ministries.
The Financial Affairs Committee reviewed the system of income tax, ratification of commercial document fees, and a draft of the Saudi credit bank system.
The Systems and Administration Committee reviewed recommendations pertaining to the retirement of civil and military personnel in the presence of Mohammed Al-Kharashi, Director General of the Pensions Department, and a number of officials.
The Foreign Affairs Committee reviewed proposed amendments to the Arab Gulf University agreement, in the presence of Dr Ibrahim Al-Misha’al, the Kingdom’s representative on the University’s Board of Trustees, and a number of representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education.
Recommendations of the specialized committees will be submitted to the Shoura Council.
