11Mar2003 Prince Naif orders renovation of 2, 545 Palestinian homes

Jiddah, 11th March 2003

Prince Naif bin Abdul Aziz, the Interior Minister and General Supervisor of the Saudi Committee for the Support of Al-Quds Intifada has ordered the renovation of 1, 700 homes in the West Bank and 645 homes in Gaza, and the construction of 200 homes in the West Bank in collaboration with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).

The 2,545-home renovation program will provide relief to the Palestinian people and shelter for those who have lost their homes as a result of Israeli aggression.

Prince Naif recently ordered the construction of 600 residential units in six Palestinian cities, involving a capital expenditure of SR112, 500, 000, for the needy Palestinian people.
