The Heads of the Red Crescent Societies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iran on Friday signed a joint statement agreeing to expand aspects of cooperation between the two sides.
Dr Abdulrahman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Swelim and Ahmad Noor Bala signed a statement that stressed the necessity to represent a common stance in international conferences and the International Federation for the Red Crescent and Cross Societies.
The two sides agreed to exchange information in the case of a war against Iraq and the flow of Iraqi refugees towards the borders of both countries.
The joint statement also stressed the necessity for cooperation and coordination in offering health services to Iranian pilgrims.
