26Feb2003 WAMY holds training session for female students in Indonesia

Jiddah, 26th February 2003

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) recently organized a training course for female students in Indonesia.

Over 100 female students, ranging from intermediate to university level, participated in the 30-day training course.

WAMY Assistant Secretary General, Abdul-Wahab Noorwali, said that the training course aims to promote enlightenment of Muslim women and enable them to become acquainted with the affairs of their religion.

He noted that the training course included lectures in the Tafsir (interpretation) of the Holy Quran, Hadith (sayings of the Prophet), Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and Sira (biography) of the Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him).
