Minister of Labour delivers speech

The Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Dr Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Namlah, said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking to curb the employment of foreign workers in private sector establishments. This is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to promote employment opportunities for Saudi citizens.

In a speech here today, the Minister added that in spite of these efforts, the Kingdom would continue to receive workers from Arab and non-Arab countries to meet current requirements.

The Minister delivered his speech at the second meeting of the Arab Labour Conference in its 30th session, which is currently in progress.
