10Feb2003 Dr Abdul-Salam hails Kingdom’s services for pilgrims

Cairo, 10th February 2003

The Secretary General of the League of Islamic Universities, Dr Jaffar Abdul-Salam, praised the excellent services extended by the Saudi authorities to Hajj pilgrims and those performing Umrah (minor pilgrimage).

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr Abdul-Salam said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has mobilized its utmost potential in service of the holy sites and pilgrims. He praised the Kingdom’s pioneering and significant role in assisting Muslims throughout the world. “Thanks to the excellent arrangements made by the Saudi authorities, the pilgrims can perform their rituals in comfort and ease,” he added.
