10Feb2003 New projects worth SR400 million after Hajj

Jiddah, 10th February 2003

The Ministry of Hajj is to carry out projects in the Holy City of Makkah at the cost of SR400 million after the conclusion of the Hajj season.

A report published yesterday by Al-Hayat newspaper said that Makkah has already benefited from a number of projects carried out last year, such as a rainwater drainage project in the Arafat area.

It is expected that sales in the food industry will exceed SR150 million during Hajj season.
