Jiddah, 8th February 2003

250 pilgrims from South Africa arrived here on Friday evening. The pilgrims, who will perform Hajj at the expense of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, were welcomed at King Abdul Aziz International Airport by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Salih bin Abdul Aziz bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, and a number of senior officials.

In a press statement, Al Al-Sheikh said that more than 1,400 Muslims will perform this year’s Hajj at the expense of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, under the supervision of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Call and Guidance. He praised the initiative of the King to host a number of pilgrims every year, and said that the initiative would inevitably yield positive results.
